We’re celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week at the Council for Economic Opportunities in Greater Cleveland! Despite the statewide shut down of Head Start Centers, schools, and daycares, CEOGC teachers and site administrators have made it a point to continue their communication through Zoom calls.
Preparation for classroom lessons and other activities doesn’t stop when school is out. Our teachers are dedicated to ensuring every student learns and grows as they prepare to head to kindergarten!
“We have an amazing team of early childhood professionals who are absolute in their commitment to remain responsive to the needs of the children and families in our program. Our staff maintains an awesome virtual connection with the children and families, to not only offer continued learning but to also continue nurturing the emotional relationships with them,” said Angela Anderson, Center Based Program Manager.
It was tough to have to end the physical academic year much earlier this year, but teachers are finding new ways to stay engaged with each other and to talk about plans for re-opening.
“It is critical that the children and families know their personal well-being is of utmost importance. Their physical presence and hugs are tremendously missed during this time of isolation, which makes the experience of seeing adorable faces and big smiles through virtual engagements so mutually pleasing and necessary. We are truly all in this together,”
We just want to take a moment to say thank you to all our devoted teachers and all teachers around the world!
