No Turning Back

The NOC’s No Turning Back (NTB) program assists formerly incarcerated men and women desiring a positive re-entry to their communities to overcome some of the barriers that often push them to resume criminal activity.

The program participants attend six-weeks of workshops designed to help them understand and use community resources.  Life skills, job readiness and basic education workshops are conducted by CEOGC staff.  Other professionals from resources such as the Legal Aid Society, Key Bank, and others, conduct workshops to help the program participants to understand their rights and responsibilities, and how to access services that many of us take for granted.

Re-entrants are also assisted to acquire necessary identification documents, housing, to identify health services, and provided with some transportation support to access community resources.

All program participants receive weekly stipends while participating in the program; and, for six months after they complete the program, a family development specialist makes follow-up contacts and provides support as needed.
