Richard Cordray, a democrat running for Governor of Ohio, was greeted by dozens of smiling preschoolers on Wednesday, as he visited CEOGC’s Buckeye Head Start center in Cleveland.

Cordray read a Dr. Suess book about eyes to the students, then talked to them about their favorite things to see. The students told him they liked to see bikes and trees and animals!

During his visit, Cordray also spoke with CEOGC’s Dr. Jacklyn Chisholm and Dr. Thea Wilson about the importance of early childhood education programs like Head Start. Dr. Chisholm and Dr. Wilson explained the importance of high-quality preschool programs, and the social and educational impact those programs have on the kids who attend them.

Before he left, the students hugged Cordray and posed for a group picture. Thanks to Richard Cordray and his team for the great visit!
