Posted: Thu, Jun 15, 2006
CEOGC sponsored a series of events throughout the county, recognizing April as Minority Health Month. These events were provided for minority families and individuals of all ages and brought together many great organizations, health care professionals and concerned citizens.

Healthy Fathers Fairs were held at the CEOGC Head Start Center in East Cleveland on April 20th and at the Louis Stokes Head Start Center in the Lee-Harvard community on April 27th. These events brought together several great organizations including the Cleveland Sight Center, the Urban League, Help Me Grow and the YMCA.

On Tuesday, April 25th, a large crowd of seniors turned out for the Hough Neighborhood Opportunity Center’s Senior Health Fair. A great deal of information was provided to them by presenters from Legal Aid, the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, Cuyahoga Options for Elders and the City of Cleveland.

These programs were funded in part by a grant from the State of Ohio Commission on Minority Health.
