CEOGC News: CEOGC Head Start Center Holds Male Reading Challenge

A total of 133 men participated and over 200 books were read during the 2009 Male Classroom Reading Challenge at the CEOGC Head Start Center in East Cleveland from March 20th - March 27th. Classroom F was named the winner of the challenge and was rewarding with a pizza party for its total of 20 males reading to the students.

Community readers included members of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, East Cleveland Police and Fire departments, Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services, Touchstone Management and East Cleveland Mayor Eric Brewer. And Ricardo Camargo, Family Service Worker from the Willard Head Start Center participated by reading books in Spanish.

Five fathers received door prized for their participation through generous donations from Touchstone Management, New Concepts Insurance Agency, Murray's Auto Store and Speedway.
