CEOGC News: CEOGC Graduates 40 Job-Ready Students

On Friday, May 14th CEOGC Community Services graduated 40 students from its Future Routes for Entrants to Employment (FREE) Program during a ceremony at the May Dugan Center. 

 

CEOGC promotes efforts to fight poverty and build families throughout Greater Cleveland with programs such as the Future Routes for Entrants to Employment (FREE) Program sponsored through American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds.   
Through this program, clients are offered job readiness training, job placement assistance services and limited employer training reimbursement.   Job readiness training consists of job preparedness training, financial literacy and Life Skills workshops. 
The benefits consist of soft skills enhancement, assistance in creating a sample cover letter and resume, sharpening interview skills as well as job placement assistance services. 

 

  

 

Each six week session consists of engagement in the following activities:
·         Job Search and Online Applications Workshops
·         Mock Interviews
·         Cover Letter & Resume Writing
·         Group Discussions and;
·         Professional Day.

There are three six week sessions that remain in the FREE program schedule:
·         May 24, 2010 – July 2, 2010
·         July 12, 2010 – August 20, 2010
·         August 30, 2010 – October 8, 2010
