Vice President of Marketing and Communications
Margaret Thresher is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications where she is responsible for brand development, internal and external communications and media relations.
Previously Margaret was Director of Communications for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and was responsible for public and media relations campaigns, strategic planning, website and social media management and the steady growth of positive traditional and social media for the Museum, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation in New York City and the Library and Archives located in downtown Cleveland.
Prior to her work at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Margaret spent 15 years in government, corporate and non-profit communications in Cleveland and in Phoenix, Arizona. She worked in the Cleveland Mayor’s Office as Cultural Affairs Manager and led the Greater Cleveland Committee on Hunger’s Harvest for Hunger campaign. In Phoenix, she worked for the League of Arizona Cities and Towns and R&R Partners, an award-winning public affairs and advertising agency responsible for the “What Happens Here, Stays Here” campaign for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Her clients included Audubon Arizona, the Arizona Business and Education Coalition, Cold Stone Creamery, Colliers International and Cox Communications.
Margaret graduated from John Carroll University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She is a spirited ambassador for Cleveland and an active community volunteer. She served on the Board of Directors for the Old Stone Education Center and on the Board of Directors for the YWCA. She is a member of LeadDIVERSITY’s class of 2008. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Business Communicators – Phoenix where she received the President’s Award.
