On Thursday, August 20, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., members of the Workforce Development team will host a ZOOM meeting and engage our partners and prospective individuals about all the aspects regarding the M.O.V.E.R.S program, in anticipation for our second session beginning on September 15, 2020.
The M.O.V.E.R.S. program focuses on 18-24-year-old individuals who MUST be a high school graduate AND meet the income guidelines to participate. They will receive Microsoft training with hopes of achieving their IC3 Digital Literacy Certification, along with basic customer service training & job readiness tools. In addition, the six-week program, that runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to noon provides them the following:
- Financial stipend based on attendance
- Clothing voucher
- Business/job tours
- College/educational tours
- Workplace assessment testing, including Work Keys
The program will be a blend of virtual learning, and in-person instruction led by instructor Terrance Allen and overseen by Workforce Development Manager, Audrey Taylor, along with program chaperone Frank DeSantis.
