For Pregnant Women
The Baby and Mommy Support and Early Head Start pregnancy program is designed to help pregnant women learn more about health, safety and parenting skills, helping to ensure the delivery and development of a healthy baby.
Make an appointment with the Neighborhood Opportunity Center nearest you to begin your journey with a Family Development Specialist as an expectant mother. Together, we will discuss healthy nutrition, positive parenting practices, safety concerns, family and peer issues and accessing medical services and the importance of your doctor’s appointments.
We offer Wellness Workshops throughout the year where expectant mothers can connect with other mothers-to-be on topics including health education, safety instruction and positive parenting skills. The Council also hosts Sharing Circles: a forum to talk about the ups and downs experienced during the prenatal and perinatal period.
